Application

The HMA-TMN Manganese Analyzer allows precise and rapid determination of manganese content in industrial wastewater. It operates using colorimetric measurement. Through its automatic calibration and autonomous backwashing and self-cleaning, it delivers consistently precise results over the long term. A large LCD touch display allows for simple interactive control. The low reagent consumption enables refilling of measurement reagents at monthly intervals.

Additional Information: Measurement Method

In the colorimetric determination of manganese in an automatic manganese analyzer, formaldoxime is used. The sample is added to a solution containing formaldoxime, which leads to the formation of a brown-colored complex. This complex is formed when the dissolved manganese ion (Mn2+) reacts with formaldoxime. The concentration of total manganese is then calculated based on the absorption at 470 nm.
